Just 3 days after I shook Mr. Herron's hand at graduation, I got married to the most fantastic man in the world. Next month we will celebrate our 27th anniversary. We both attended Middle Tennessee State University for 2 years & then transferred to Austin Peay State University where we both graduated with music degrees. He has a music liberal arts degree with a vocal emphasis, while I have an instrumental performance degree. We have 4 grown children & 1 grandbaby. Nathaniel Layne graduated from high school in 2007. While there he was involved in both the chorus (a bass like his dad) and band (percussion). He then went to ITT Tech in Nashville & obtained an Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting in 2011. He has 1 son, Carson Layne, who will be 3 in August. Carolynn Elizabeth graduated from high school in 2010. While there she sang Sop II in the chorus all 4 years. Due to 2 out of state moves, her schooling has been interrupted while she waited to establish in state residency for tuition purposes at new schools. Hopefully one day she'll be able to finish her Biology/Pre-Med degree & go on to medical school to become a pediatrician. She will be getting married this August. Hannah Jane played flute during middle school, but then sang alto & sometimes tenor in chorus during high school. She was miserably unhappy at her private school, so we withdrew her during her senior year & homeschooled that final year, grad...Expand for more
